WhirlyBuds offers Creative Movement and Toddler Curriculum at participating childcare provider facilities. Information about what to expect once you sign up for a WhirlyBuds dance class is provided below.

Included In Your WhirlyBuds Enrollment:
  • Weekly dance class
  • 30 minutes of dance instruction
  • Monthly newsletters with class updates
  • Periodic photos of your “buds” in action – emailed or texted to you

A WhirlyBuds semester provides students 16 weeks of instruction. Our summer sessions are offered as month-long special programs.

Policies

Minimum Registration
All classes require a minimum registration of 4 students. If minimum registration is not met, class may be cancelled or combined with similar course offering.

Absences
There are no deductions or credits when classes are missed. If more than one dance class is offered at the childcare center, students may attend these as a make-up class.

Holiday Breaks and Center Closings
WhirlyBuds follows the same closings as Seattle School District for Thanksgiving, Winter Break, and Spring Break. If the childcare center is closed (not open to WhirlyBuds) for other reasons, we will not be able to conduct classes. If the location is open during other holidays or teacher workdays, WhirlyBuds will hold classes. There is no reduction in tuition for months with holidays or breaks, as these have already been factored into the tuition schedule.

Snow
WhirlyBuds will cancel classes due to snow in conjunction with the Seattle School District. Classes will be made up within 30 days of the cancellation. The make-up date and time will be posted at the childcare center location as well as emailed to all students’ parents.

Payment & Tuition
Tuition is due by the first of each month. If accounts are paid after the tenth of the month, there will be a $15.00 late fee applied to the account balance. There is a $35.00 returned payment charge for any payment returned by the bank. Please do not leave payments at your child’s childcare facility, unless otherwise noted.

Payments are made the following ways:

  • Online single payment
  • Online recurring payment
  • Mailed check for payment


Potty Trained
Please make sure that your child is potty trained before attending WhirlyBuds classes.

Dress
Students should wear clothing that doesn’t restrict their movement ability. No special dress is required to participate.
